I chanced upon this video by Erin's tea and thought it will make a good opportunity for you to mentally list a few of today's "innovations" for tea: the tea ball infuser, the sieve that many tea masters conveniently rest on their cha hai (aka the fair cup) before pouring out the infusion and our all-time favourite tea bag.
My proposal to readers is to prepare tea without any of these modern day aids for a week's test period and then revert to your usual practice of tea preparation. Pay attention to your five senses while doing so.
